Mercy

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for yoursakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

True Christian mercy and service is not just "charity".  Mercy is not motivated by compulsion, duty, or guilt.  Christian mercy is rooted in the awareness that we are all recipients of God’s mercy through Jesus Christ – a mercy that we’ve done nothing to deserve.  In an effort to model the selfless love of Christ to as many as possible, part of the mission of our church is to love the people of Philadelphia through acts of service, and also dream about what this city could become.
